Wouldn’t it be great if every child had access to early literacy initiatives and activities that foster creative expression? I’ve recently come to know Bring Me A Book Hong Kong, a registered charity that brings literary experiences to children— and equips underprivileged communities with their own libraries. Along with Elephant Community Press, we ran an Author’s Day— complete with a visit from children’s author Jarvis, and presentations of young authors taught by ECP. Of course, I couldn’t resist running a workshop on speech and expression. Here’s how that went 😊 ⠀ The Performing Arts program for 3-5 year olds is happening at Baumhaus as part of our Summer Creative Camp at our new Annex. ⠀ PS: In case you are wondering why the video shows us “catching and swallowing balloons,” we were about to practice how to breathe before we sing 😊 Happy to share more next time! ⠀ #bamhaus #baumhaushk #elephantcommunitypress #ecp #bringmeabookhk #literacy #authorsday #summerterm #creativecamp
